4| 5| 6|These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TradesBridge, a nonprofit platform operated by The TradesBridge Network Inc, a Connecticut nonprofit corporation recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity under section 509(a)(2) (determination effective July 1, 2026). By creating an account, sponsoring, donating, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
107|You must be at least 13 years old. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use TradesBridge with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. When you register as an employer, supplier, or school faculty member, you represent that you are authorized to act on behalf of your organization.
113|You agree to:
119|Tool packages, apparel, and reference-library books are sold at or near cost through Stripe Checkout (PayPal available as an alternative method). Sponsor pledges and open-pool contributions are processed the same way.
131|TradesBridge is operated by The TradesBridge Network Inc, a registered 501(c)(3) public charity effective July 1, 2026. All donations and sponsor pledges made on or after that date are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by U.S. law. You will receive an emailed receipt suitable for your records. TradesBridge is not a tax advisor — consult one for personal-return questions.
132|Product purchases (tool kits, apparel, reference books) are not tax-deductible because you receive goods in exchange. Refunds on physical goods are handled per the refund policy in your order confirmation email; digital and reference-book downloads are final sale.
133|Sponsor pledges are held in a “pending confirmation” state until (a) Stripe or PayPal confirms the payment, or (b) the sponsor manually confirms on their dashboard. Only confirmed funds are spendable against student tool kits. Rejected or refunded payments release the corresponding credit and do not affect the student's account balance.
139|Content you submit — including community board posts, comments, portfolio items, mentor questions, scholarship essays, and apprenticeship applications — remains yours. By posting, you grant TradesBridge a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content on the platform for the purpose of operating and improving the service.
145|You agree not to post:
146|We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, at our discretion, with or without prior notice.
155|The TradesBridge name, ClaimsBridge name, Future Aces branding, logos, badges, medal designs, illustrated icons, marketing copy, and platform code are owned by The TradesBridge Network Inc and protected by U.S. and international IP law. You may not copy, adapt, or redistribute them without our written permission.
161|Third-party brand marks displayed on the platform (Milwaukee, Carhartt, DeWalt, etc.) remain the property of their respective owners and are used descriptively for tool identification.
162|The platform links to external programs (grants, apprenticeship boards, supplier websites, external scholarship pages) as a convenience. We do not endorse or control their content, terms, or practices, and we are not liable for anything that happens on third-party sites. Read their terms before signing up.
168|TradesBridge is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any scholarship application will be approved.
174|To the maximum extent permitted by law, TradesBridge and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid TradesBridge in the twelve months before the claim.
180|You agree to indemnify and hold TradesBridge, The TradesBridge Network Inc, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and partners harmless from any claim, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the service.
186|These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute you have with TradesBridge that cannot be resolved informally must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Hartford County, Connecticut. You and TradesBridge each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action.
192|You may close your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the platform, or if we are required to do so by law. Provisions that by their nature survive (IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law) survive termination.
198|We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email at least seven days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the update.
